EXPRESS EVENTING LEAGUE 2011 Dressage, Showjumping and Cross Country

Sunday January 23rd, 30th, Sunday February 6th & Saturday 12th, FINAL Sunday February 27th

Classes as follows:
80cm – BE 90 Test 91
90cm – BE 90 Test 92
1.00m – BE 100 Test 101 (2009)
1.10m – BE Test 112 (2010)

Entry Fee: €40.00

SARAH LANG, 12 LINTOWN AVE, KILKENNY with a cheque made payable to Raheen Na Gun Stud no later than 13.00hours on the Wednesday preceeding the event to ensure that dressage times are given out on the Friday evening by return email/telephone/text

RULES

Dressage – as per tests listed for each class
Show Jumping – XC attire & body protectors to be worn
Cross Country – Body Protectors must be worn in the interest of your own safety.
Raheen Na Gun nor Fernhill Sport Horses will be held liable for any accident or injury to rider or horse.

Each competitor will complete their dressage at the allocated time.
They will then have a SJ time in which they must present to the judge in their XC attire.
Each rider will complete a round of Show Jumping & then will go to the 30 second holding box where they will be counted down to then proceed to the XC phase which will have an optimum time for each class.
The rider must complete the XC within the optimum time give or take 5 seconds either side of that time.
EG: Optimum time 4mins – completion within 3.55 to 4.05 will not incur penalties. Outside of this time riders will incur 2 penalties per second for either being too fast or too slow.

The winter league was extremely popular and now that we have 2 all weather arenas in use and warm up areas, so riders can go from their dressage to the showjumping phases without having to wait for arenas to become free. We strongly believe that this will be a huge improvement on our successful first Combined Training venture in Jan/Feb just gone!

We are also hoping to have more of these competitions before the end of the year.

The aim is to cater for all across the board and give riders the opportunity to improve their Dressage & Showjumping skills.

It is also designed for the competitive rider aswell, as there are different levels of dressage tests and combined training classes that are open to all. It can also provide good grounding for young animals to learn, yet in a competitive environment, up to the level suited to them.

Combined training classes start with a basic test and SJ at 80cm, and moves up along the test levels and SJ heights, maximum 1m10 with a dressage test to correspond.

Show Jumping only will commence after the Combined Training classes have finished.

ALL DRESSAGE AND COMBINED TRAINING CLASSES MUST BE PRE ENTERED & PAID FOR BY THE WEDNESDAY PRECEEDING THE EVENT SO THAT DRESSAGE TIMES CAN BE ALLOCATED.

RIDING CLUB BURSARY DAY 15TH MAY 2010

The Riding Club are holding A bursay day here on 15th May 2010

This is a Bursary from the Association of Irish Riding Clubs and only open to riding club members in the following
Clubs who have given their name to their club secretary in advance of the date. It comprises of 4 clubs in our region and they are:

Thomastown & District RC
Warrington RC
Neunna Farm RC
Clonmel RC

Members who have shown interest and booked in advance are invited to attend and go through a course walk with Ger and then jump a round of show jumping. After they have completed their first round of jumping Ger will give them some advise and then they will go ahead and jump their second round.

This is the basis of this Bursary
